I grabbed this from CIWSTECH73's post on the Bertholf's forum and figured I would post it here for those GM's that do not scroll around mil.com much. Check it out, looks pretty sweet.

What is an FT? I thought years ago that they decided the intelligence level wasn't there so they had to merge the ET's in. j/k. I think it is pretty cool they were able to fire it from local control.

I heard that taking the block out of that is a million times easier then the 76mm. whart is the rate of fire on that gun? is it faster them the 76? It looks like fun anyway.

Gunmunkey,

It takes about 30 mins to remove, lubricate and re-install the breech block on the 57mm Mk 110 Mod 0 Gun Mount (I was able to complete the task in about 28 mins, with the assistance of another CWO Weaps, during an HSI evaluation of the mount).

Rate of fire of the 57mm gun is 220 rounds per min.

The Mk 110 Mod 0 Gun mount is the US version of the Bofors 57mm Mk3 Gun Mount.

well if you want to stand there with one eye closed, holding your wet thumb in the air so you can lob a huge chunk of metal hoping it hits so you dont have to load again or if you wanted to be sergical and nock the hair off a nats ass from a similar distance and then drop your load on its buddies all before the "medium bore" has made a splash, i would agree.J/K Big Grin
