Hey guys, haven't posted in awhile and I had a question that seems to attract many vague answers and thought I might try the forums. My question is about putting in for patforswa. Is the ONLY way to put in for PATFORSWA by responding to AlGENL message for solicitations? Can you request a patforswa billet out of A-school? Can you request for patforswa if you are not tour-complete at your current billet?

No, no and yes.........you would still be technically referring back to the ALGEN though within your request. Not from 'A' school buddy........and yes you can request without being tour complete; unit and detailer would have to authorize.

No, you can apply for PATFORSWA positions: through an email once the early sea duty slate message has been released in late July or early August; via an e-resume during the e-resume time period of the Assignment Year; or waiting for me to release a message with my remaining billets. I do not consider anyone for PATFORSWA positions out of GM A school, see link at bottom of response for PATFORSWA criteria. You may request to go to PATFORSWA even if you are not tour complete, but those who are tour complete have priority.
