I'm not familiar with any Coast Guard ships with those names. Was he Coast Guard or Navy? And when was he in?
Edit: I just looked up both ships and they were Navy ships. Since this is a Coast Guard board you won't find anyone here that knew him. Best to try the Navy forum. Good luck.
