Who gives a **** if it's $60? Is it required? Make your unit buy the damn thing. What unit are you at? I will bet you $60 that they have spent at least that much on **** that wasn't even a requirement much less needed. Mad

I seem to remember something in OP-5 or the ORDMAN, I cant remember which one I was reading when I saw them, but you might be able to find a NSN in one of them. It is probably going to be in OP-5.

with all due respect CHGuns but the budget i got i am not spending on stickers. I am lucky i am at an Air station theres money for everything but would it better spent on other gear that i need. i already spent $200K getting ready for AUF and i got almost everything but machineguns, M14T's ,mounts and bullets (the bullets are on the way here).
Thank you gonzo and gunmunkey you save me some searching.

OK, so you're at an airstation where you say there's money for everything but not for required safety placards, got it. Roll Eyes You don't pay for bullets or guns so your budget aint going there so I can't even imagine what you spent 200k on. Whatever...

Try www.braceenterprise.com

They have tons of placards for the GMs at pretty decent prices. Turn around service in a 1 to 2 days too.

I'm with CHGuns on this, you can spend $200k on whatever but you can't shell out a couple hundred dollars for required decals that will fail you in a compliance inspection? Eek Sounds like somebody needs to reevauluate (sp?)their priorities. Wink

Ruth was my next door neighbor in ft. Lauderdale. and already ordered $200 worth of strikers from her but just so you get the rest of the story the magazines that i am talking about are empty theres no ammo and i am not in a hurry yet i am 1hr away from rut's Horse ranch.
for CHGuns: portable armory $89000 office $45000 magazine $20000, contruction cost of cement pads whre the armory and the magazine are installed , fences the rest has been ancillary and flight gear for the gunners the headphones for the crew are $600 ea times 8 also 11 Schmit & Bender scopes at $1700 ea, contracts for alarm, ranges with the air force a trailer big enough to take to the range for 3 weeks, office installation furniture, office equipment and still i need a vehicle so i can tow the trailer. but that was the stand up budget and it wont have that much again. so i want to stretch it as much as i can, so is in my best interest to buy from the stock system. this AUF is an expensive endeavor and i am lucky that i get that kind of money because before this they would not even buy cleaning patches for my guns.

Boy, it just goes to show you when it comes to the airdales spare no expense! We can't get a range built for almost any of the Armories in the entire Coast Guard but dammit if an airsta needs a portable armory, magazines, construction etc, etc, it will get done. Makes me sick. All I can say is savor the flavor my friend because as soon as you leave the world of the beautiful people it will all come crashing down into a horrible budget battle reality.

RAFY27-
So don't buy the stickers! Just wait till your next inspection. Once you get multiple hits for not having the correct markings, I guarantee your command will shell out the money. Or do the right thing, take the regs to your WEPO, tell him you cannot store ammo until you meet ALL requirements. I don’t think your CO would enjoy telling the D7 admiral his unit cannot take on AUF because it cannot legitimately store ammo.

Calm down everybody i already bought the damn things, besides the magazine is empty. there's not one bullet on it yet. i just needed some info that was it. theres no inspection yet, no bullets. the command is willing to spend the money is just me that thinks that is obscene to pay $60 bucks for something that is worth $4.50 in the stock system. is a done deal i already ordered them. Case closed!!

You know what, good for you for trying to be a good steward of the taxpayers dollar. You must not have been at the airsta too long with that mentality.

You think that it is "Obscene" to pay $60 for a sticker when one hundred grand plus was spent on an armory and an office? Your kidding right! You and everyone else don't "NEED" an armory, rather a weapons space and some class fives. They will meet the req's.

that's what i had already. two class fives and a weapons space and you cant fit more than two guys in that space. why settle for a rat hole when i can have a brand spanking new armory.

Not just any rat hole, custom made and much cheaper than $89K. Seen the one at Jacksonville a few years ago and thought it was an awesome idea. That was good stewardship of tax dollars.

i like that armag portable that i got. came with all the gun racks and workbench alarms lockers and all i had to do was put a foundation, fence and power to it and it was ready to go but that one you send me the link to looks great. I haven't been to JAX in a while since my days in Armory Cape Canaveral. they did get out of that armory they had in the corner of the main building? that's good then because it was a pain in A$$ to park in that tiny little base.
i got this one http://www.armagcorp.com/blowups/30-X-15-X-10-PHOTO1.htm
but 20 x 10x10 .

The armory in Jacksonville was ordered from CSI http://www.sheltech.com/ The base cost was $17K and the size was 12x30x10. Outfitted with an IDS, upgraded door, 3 ton HVAC,lighting, electrical package the total cost came in at $37K with delivery.

My $.02, Armag and the contracting done from Crane is a ripoff to the American tax payer.
