I have a round sai patch that has an M16, 45 and a M1 with the H-H also on it that I got back in the late 70's when I went through the school in Yorktown or was it Norfolk I can't rememebr which. Had it sewed on to my flight jacket along with on of those survival patches and the alaskan flag. I sure wish that jacket still fit.
ready on the right,
Merry x-mas
Dick

Sorry, it wasn't old when I got it in '97.

I have a newer one from D9, and a challenge coin to go along with it.

Are you trying to get duplicates made? I have a couple of them from when i went through in '98. Sorry not parting with them, however I believe they were managed through the TCY CGES. Have you tried getting in touch with them to see if they have any records of the orders? Or you could just take the patch and load it in Photoshop and create a graphic.

LCDR Rex Weiss's USCG patch website shows a 2006 version with gray vice black lettering. He doesn't offer them for sale but maybe he can give you the lowdown on where to get the '06 version.

Auctioning an SAI patch; from a profile that is nicknamed "gang member"... Hear that flushing sound? That is respect and integrity going down the toilet.

Sorry I didnt look at the person that was selling it. I just did a google search for it and that is one of the things that came up. Next time I suggest something I will look at every little detail.

Don't be so hard on yourself man! It's most likely some white middle class kid living in the burbs selling his dads stuff to buy a vidio game for himself and his chums!
Merry merry,

That is true. Bret, my post wasn't geared towards yours. I was simply stating that it is disrespectful for someone to auction off a patch that should be earned.

Yes, I believe we were. I remember you, Rich. GM1 (now GMC) Wilbert was one of our instructors.

If you recall, we had another instructor, a tall thin BM, who kept ragging me because my PD had Glocks instead of Berettas. "Glock perfection, Glock perfection" he constantly repeated with a sneer in his voice.

During our class, two of the school Berettas had safety/decocking levers break off. I collected the broken levers and presented them to the BM, stating "Beretta perfection, Beretta perfection. Here, you can make a pair of matching earrings", to which he mumbled some profanity, turned, and walked away.

Good times! Cool

Sometimes having a patch is a bad thing. Some of the "MLE Badges" on this site will get you a seat next to this guy.

I do remember that, you were a PS1 at the time; seemed like he had a hard time dealing with your civilian LEO experience. I was glad I got to go and have maintained some type of firearms instructor qualification since then.

The MLE badge/patch is a whole other story. Had them screen printed on our red training shirts and business cards in LEDET until about 98 when they were no longer authorized. It is on the TACLET North End of Tour plaque also.
