I have 8 years in service and received my 2735. I just got out Feb this year and im having a hard time figuring out what NSPS/GS level or position i fall under.

Does anyone know. i cant find anything on line that guides or help me with understanding.

Experience I have is that you take a test to determine your GS level. I am a Navy wife. My husband retired from the Navy, but I'm still a Navy wife! Years ago I took the test and was given a GS grade or whatever it's called. I was therefore qualified for jobs of that level or lower. I was a college student. I didn't think that the test was severely difficult and tested well, though traditionally I wasn't that great at test-taking. Don't be nervous about it. If you don't like your score, then ask what you can do to improve it and when you can next take the test. This is how it was about 30 years ago. Good luck! Military people are great! Our son is a Marine Cobra pilot nearing his first deployment.

You have to read the job requirements to find out what GS level you will apply for. The GS level is determined many different ways, some by college degree, by experience in that particular field and some a combination of both.
