Basic Training |
I retired from the Army a few years ago with both a BS Degree in telecommuications and a Signal Corps MOS. The degree was earned while on active duty at night school through extension learning.
The courses I took were long and difficult but in the end they paid off both in the service and in civilian life. First, I suddenly became my commander's number one guy on new technology and was sent to military and vendor schools for further training. I filled officer grade G3 positions at division and higher levels. Then when I retired as an E-6, Yes promotions did come slowly in my field, I was hired by IBM as a Network Designer at 15 times my military salary. Please don't consider this a brag sheet, it is not. Consider it a blue print of what each and every person can achieve if one researches where the jobs are in Information Technology earns a degree on the Military and then hits the street. So if your in a fog about what you are going to do after your military time? Do this "Get off MY Space and start researching your career options then Make the Military Your Educational Sugar Daddy! |
