My God.... Creator of all..... You are an awesome and wondrous God.....

As I woke this morning, I walked through my house... the only one awake. I stopped at the bedroom doors of my three children, marveling that you have entrusted them to me to raise and nurture, leading them along your path...... Thankful that I GET to suffer through the pains, and joys, disappointments, and blessings of seeing them grow in stature and faith.

You have Blessed my Lord, richly Blessed me. I do not hunger, I am not naked, I am not homeless, I am loved by the same woman I married 19 years ago..and we are still, not just lovers, but friends.

As I walked from my door, to start my drive to work..... I praise you that you have ALLOWED me to rise and go through another day, that you have Blessed me with Life, Breath, Sight, and the will to succeed and care for my family.

Thank You God....... I praise Your Name and submit to Your guidance. Lead me.

This thread was asked for, so I put it up and stickied it. Doesn't appear to draw much interest, however, so it now survives or not based on whether or not it is posted to.

This topic is no longer stickied.

I am so thankful and praise God for my family, our health and the abundance of blessings we have in our lives right now. I know that at any moment or day things can change and I want to think that my strength is strong enough to keep my eyes on God ALWAYS, not just during times when life is great.

Blessings to all who endure health issues, losses and trials in their lives. You all set examples of how faith in God gets you through. (bladeskiss-Im not categorizing you with those of us who believe in God, so I hope you won't be offended)

Have a safe and wonderful fall weekend-enjoy the beautiful colors of the leaves changing and the cool air-finally!

I was in a car accident early this morning as I was driving my son home from his football game.
We were not hurt and neither were the people in the other vehicle, so I am praising GOD!
My car wasn't so fortunate, but I thank God for USAA, as well!
I will stay focused on the blessings in this situation and know that God was with us. Im thankful for my 8 yr old son, who kept his composure and helped mom hold it together as well. He is an amazing child and has been consoling me-I love him so much and I just can't say this enough-God is soo good to me and my family.

Blessings to you all and praying that everyone else's weekend is a bit better than mine so far!

I sometimes wonder why I am so blessed in my life. It sometimes seems that I am the biggest snafu around ! I have prayed many times for my wife and daughter to be cared for if I pass, as I am 18 years older then my wife and my daughter is only 12. It is a real concern as I have almost been carried off three times in the last six years. I don't obsess about it, but it is a real concern. Well just a while back I mentioned that we were going to buy a condominium, fairly small, two bedrooms but it's more than adeguate for our needs. While the process was ongoing we turnred it down three separate times as too expensive or not what we needed. Well three times the price came down, it is important to realizse that where we live this unit is well worth three times what we paid for it $145,000.00 finally we could NOT turn it down, then the mortgage company gave us a 6.3 % interest rate with no down payment!! and the seller bought back our mortgage insurance for the life of the loan $4350.00 no closing points for us other than the earnst money deposit that we subbmitted with the p.ands. agreement. of which we reecieved 1369.00 back.

One of my bestest friends helped me paint it today and my two sons and my son in law are helping us move in tomorrow with my daughter (the 40 year old one, as well)In short my whole family and all my friends have gotten together and made this happen for us and all I can do is cry, I can't think of a damned thing to say, or do, to tell them what it means to me to have all this love that I didn't earn and don''t deserve showered on my family and me.
like this

So I thought the best thing I could do was share it with you my friends and hope some of it comes your way some day, and in some way.....Tawodi....deeply humbled.....

Alleluia!!!- Thank You God for allowing me to live on this earth during times of great witness to You through Jesus Christ. Thank You for gracing us with Your presence through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I rely on You daily and I ask You to please continue to reveal Yourself to me. I know You are only giving me what I can handle because of Your all powerful might. Your power is sometimes so overwhelming to me that it breaks me down. How Awesome, God You Are.
I thank You for beginning myself in this great country of America where the message of Jesus has been nurished and been allowed to grow. So many have fled evil and found sanctuary here because of the fruits of Your love. Also history has proven the vast differences of the people and places all over the world that have come to know and believe in Jesus Christ to be blessed by Your graces which You have bestowed upon them. I see Your love being spread everywhere and it gives me strength and comfort to carry on.
I thank You for my family. I have truely been blessed.
I thank You for all those You've provided that guided me to my understanding of You. But more importantly, I thank You God, for You.

Thank you Lord for all of the blessings you have bestowed on my loved ones and myself. We do have a rather large family and LOTS of stuff happens, but in the end IT is YOUR will that prevails....

My Brother had a close call last night...he is home and recovering and while in the bathroom his safety bar gave and sent in hurling to the tub head first and the floor...Ambulance was called and thank the Lord, No major damages were done to his leg and no concussion...A lot of discomfort but was able to return home...

He was laughing about it today...."I gotta watch where I am and what to grab or I could be in deep poo poo.." LOL I almost laughed to tears....The home nurse said she would like to have his movement around the house on video..(of course not the crash scene) so they could show it to other amputees...to encourage them...Now he is actually eager to get his prostheic device and get on with therapy. Praise God!!

Had to share this.... Thank You God for my family..... and Right now, Oh God, I praise you for my 8 yo daughter and the spirit of empathy and compassion that wells so strong within her.

A family member who was visiting was outside with my 8 year old black lab got distracted, let her wander a bit, she must have seen something to chase, and she was hit and killed almost instantly by a car.

I was told when I got home from work.... felt almost like I had just lost one of my 3 kids.

My Daughter, 8, knew how close I was to that dog... she comes to me inside the house, and gives me a hand made card, obviously made by her.

Inside, she told me that I have to remember the Happy Times, and the Good Times. Said to remember the long walks, and the car rides.

The Card had her tear stains on it....... How did I deserve a Daughter that even when she is crying over the loss of our furry family member, she thought of me and how I would feel.

Praise God for the Blessings he has given me....
