My son who is active duty army pulled up his LES and it said that his check was going to be going into the account he designated and told him how much, today checked it (since we share an account) and there was no money deposited.

Why would that be? I know he's having issues with his pay/wife and everything else but he still should have rec'd a check. It shows the new account on the LES which is way to go into.

He says he won't be able to go to finance unless his sgts take him as they can't do it on their own.

What should he do? Is there an 800# that he can call to see what the problem is. This is all he needs since he wasn't getting the bah and has all these issues with his bah diff as well and now this. How can he survive without receiving a check even if it's just a little bit.

Thanks for any information.

did you first off-call the bank to see if they are just late getting the tapes worked? they dont have to have the deposits posted til midnight tonight-that would be the first place to look-if thats not an issue-then its up to the soldier to deal with the chain of command to resolve his issues.

Well, here I luckily brought a copy of his LES (he mails it to me to keep so that I can be sure it's deposited) to work with me today and happened to look at the account number and here he had the last digit wrong. ARGGHHH..I immediately went to the bank to see if it was an open account and it's not. So, the bank said that it's all online and the army will see that it ddin't get deposited and they'll reissue it to the correct bank ACCOUNT. He also called a 888 number he had and talked to them and they said it may night show up until the 15th now, which is fine. I said thankfully I don't live paycheck to paycheck and can help him out for the next two weeks until it gets straight.

He just called and said tha he fixed the account number he plugged in the last number wrong and that hopefully it'll go to that account..

Like I need this DRAMA again. Yesterday I was drama free thank gosh today this...

Thanks though for the suggestion.

The lady at the bank was nice, she said that when she put the account number in it went to if it was an active account she would have debited that account and credited the right one and called them to tell them what happened, but it's not so we had to go the other route with him calling to get it fixed. I'm kinda glad it was a closed account!
