Hello there!
I am currently at a loss as to what to do about my child's father who is active in the Army. I was given a paper documented by the courts over a year ago in regards to the military directly withdrawing child support from his pay checks. Come to find out he gave me a false document, and has not under court order done this. His is now behind on his CS obligation on a constant basis. I did research VIA my father who is a retired IG, and he advised to contact his commander. I don't want to do this as we have remained friends through our divorce, and also do not want to hurt his record. But it seems he gave a false document, and continues to ignore his payment dates as court ordered. Any advice would be helpful!
Thanks, and god bless!

False document=fraud and you need to contact your case worker who's supposed to be handling your child support enforcement.

I think it's great that you and your ex have been able to remain on friendly terms, but Child Support is an obligation that is OWED to you and it's not right of him to take advantage of you like that. I would definitely take your father's advice and inform his C.O. If he submitted a false document to court, he knew the consequences of his actions and now unfortunately he must suffer them. In the meantime, you could try to get a loan to help subsidize the lack of money you have from not getting the child support. You can also ask your father to apply for a loan for you, since I know sites like militaryloans.com give out really generous loans to military retirees. Then when your husband pays you the CS you can use that to pay back the loan.
