Is your ex-husband old enough to be drawing a retirement check from reserve service? It's not like active duty where you serve 20 and start drawing retirement. Reserve retirement doesn't kick in until age 62.
you also need to investigate whether the amount is going to be worth the cost of going to court to get it-reserve retirment pay is based on a points system-and unless he spent close to 20 years on active duty before he went into the reserves-its not going to be a ton of money-by the time you halve it-you may only be left with a couple of hundred dollars a month-and as Mike said it doesnt kick in until age 60
