Just a quick question- I know you can typically see your LES before you are actully paid- just trying to figure out how many days that really is. The husbands 1st Sgt told me last friday his pay was entered and that he would be paid this friday, but it hasnt posted to MyPay yet. The reason it's not the 1st/15th is because he is reserve, and I know when he drills he typically gets paid 7-9 days after his drill.
LES's come out 7 days before the first and the 15th. It doesn't matter if you are reserve or active. The pay period is still the 1st and 15th. Drill pay is a wierd animal and you can't expect LES's to predict what or when you'll get paid drills. The LES could say nothing is coming, but then you'll get paid and those drills will show up on the next LES.
5th. It doesn't matter if you are reserve or active. The pay period is still the 1st and 15th
Yea not so much-the reserve component pay system can pay up to 10 times a month-pay days for schools and and annual trainings are commonly the friday that is the last day of the school-or if the orders end on a weekend the friday before the weekend they end-if the end in the middle of the week it will be the friday of that week. Its not uncommon to get paid before the LES for those posts. Complexthings you need to remember that most of the "rules" apply to the active duty pay system and that for reservists and national guard sometimes there are a different set of rules-just because you dont see it in MYPAY yet -you will probably still get it friday. Now if he were on long term title 32 to or title 10 active duty then yes paydays would be the 1st an the 15th and the LES would be up 7 days ahead.
Just an example of how National Guard/Reserve pay works. My husband had drill this past weekend Oct 3&4. His pay will be deposited on Oct 13th. The first day I was able to see his LES was today so that's 6 days before he gets paid.
