HELP PLEASE!

I just started using my GI Bill, so I don't really know much. Let me make sure if I have this right. I joined the Navy in 99', and was honorable discharged in 05' so I met the requirement to receive full benefits for the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Let's say the current GI Bill we will receive $1321 for the 2008-2009. With the new bill we will not receive $1321 but instead the gov't will pay the school full tuition at the start of each term, and we're getting each month is the E-5 BAH allowance with dependent and up to $1000 for books per year? Please tell me if this is correct. Thank you.

( Don't quote me, I might be wrong but ) from reading the rules, you now will qualify for the new GI Bill because of your post 9/11 active service and 3 total years. They will pay for your tuition in full for up to 36 months. You will also get a stipend equal to an E-5 with dependent ( check out the pay chart, some can be as high as $1,600 per month, depending on your locality ). So if you are going or planning to go, its a good deal for you.
