Hi Everyone,
I don't know if this is the correct forum or not, but i had a few questions about the Army Nurse Candidate program? 1)What is the Minium G.P.A-I hold a 3.3 GPA right now, but am currently taking Science Pre-Req's to get into Nursing School and that may possibly drag that down. 2) Suggestions on when to speak with an Army Health Care Recruiter, I've applied to two colleges for Spring 2010. I feel pretty confident that I will get into one of them, and not so confident on the other school, but we'll see...Should I wait till I get an Acceptance letter to speak with a Recruiter or would it be better to speak with them now, even though I don't know yet If I will be accepted( I'm aware of the rule that you have to be a junior in Nursing School for the ANCP program, which I do meet that requirement, since I currently hold a Bachelor's in Information Technology Management, and yes I considered OCS, but my plan was to become an RN regardless, so I wanted to get the schooling knocked out before even considering a commission. 3)I'm prior service Active Army so I'm aware on what day to day life is like for enlisted, but does anyone have any specific examples on how enlisted and officer life differs? 4)I have about 6 months left on my G.I Bill Chapter 30 and wanted to know if I could combine the G.I bill with the ANCP 5) Besides going to Meps and having a physical done, what else should I expect, and is the board for the ANCP, just a Paper Board (Turn in the packet and no face to face, or is it a face to face board, like the enlisted boards Thanks for any insight, Angela, Also I have considered all Service Options and the Army is the best fit for me, I also am aware that I may have to go to war and I'm willing to do that if the army needs me to. |
