A friend of mine told me that I could get help with paying for college because my father was enlisted in the Navy full time during Vietnam and was honorably discharged. I was wondering if that's true, and if so where can I find out more about it?

Unless your father has been rated 100% permanent and totally disabled by the VA, then their is no program via the government to help the child of a veteran. You father had a GI bill entitlement, but it expired years ago and was not transferable.
