Hi everyone. I turned in my application package for enlistment in the CSMR on Nov 14. I haven't heard anything back from them. Does anyone in the SMR know how long the process takes? I don't want to start annoying my recruiter with questions yet.

I'm not in CSMR, but two months seems like more than a reasonable amount of time to get some feedback on the application. Call them up.

Where did you turn it in? Depending on where you submitted it, it may not even yet be to HQ.

Down south, it usually takes them a minimum of one drill cycle to get your packet to the Southern Regional Commander. Then another drill cycle to get it to HQ.

God knows what happens to it after that. I've seen packets go up and a year later people are still waiting for orders.

You're not in the chain of command yet, so call anyone you like. Including HQ.

Thanks. I called my recruiter. My medical needed further review, so someone called me and my medical was approved. My recruiter submitted the form back to Sacramento. Back on the waiting game now..........

This one has been dead for a couple of years. Almost all the activity migrated to another site (can't give the URL, but if you google State Defense Force forum you'll get to it.).

Well thanks River, I guess you're still around. I also noticed that Allmilitary.com has a lot more activity, but can't log in for some reason...
