I am not in the TX state guard. I would assume that if a person is enlisted in the Tx SG they would know what uniform to wear, I would be hesitant to tell an unknown person how best to "look" like they are in the Tx SG or any other branch of the uniformed services.

I was in the state guard before the acu came into effect for the federal forces. i am looking to re-enlist and was needing to know if my current bdu is still in effect or if the txsg units have now changed over to the acu, if so then its something i need to make allowances for. sorry for the confusion.

Your best bet would be to ask the recruiter that you're working with.

The old style BDUs are authorized until December 2009, however most of the folks on the "Army" side are now wearing the digital ACUs. The Air side has starting switching to the new Air Force style and the Maritime units are switching to the new USMC or Navy style. I think you will find that most members of the Texas State Guard have made the switch to the newer style uniform of the different branches.
