Hey! What happened to the CASMR webpage. I went back to look for some info and it looks like everything was taken off. It's probably being upgraded but does anyone know when it will be back up and running?
Yeah, a lot of old links to pages are gone and some of those remaining are broken. Perhaps its related to the redesign of the CA NG website, or maybe it's due to the reorg of CSMR into north and south commands, and Army Support Groups.
This is a problem of security. Back in Oct-07 the guard transitioned to newer, more secure servers. They are so secure that even the web master can't access most of it. There were dead links for months. Finally in Feb. 08 they stripped off all the dead links and pictures and just put up a few basic pages. When will it be fixed? You'll have to ask CPT Brown the state webmaster.
It wasn't a matter of a server change, but enforcement of existing DoD and Army policies that were ignored in the past. The policy states that public stuff is strictly for public information for any Joe off the street to see. Anything that pertains to guard/SDF business has to stay inside, even for unsecured forms and such. That's why everything came off until they had a chance to review all the stuff that's on there. I see some things are beginning to pop back up. Although it still needs work.
