How's it going? "Long time listner, first time caller". I am in the process of lobbying for a SDF here in Oklahoma, and am wondering if there is any help that would be graciously offered.

I have sent letters to The Adjutants General of each state that has a SDF requesting assistance. Have already received email from MG Wade (TAG CAARNG) pledging his staff's help. Also, received promising email from the Adjutant General's Office of Tennessee as well.

I have sent letters to every member of my state's House of Representatives, the leaders of the various Veteran's Organizations State Headquarters (American Legion,VFW,AMVETS), and also sent a letter to the state's Emergency Managers Association.

I've been told that I am going the right track for this, but it would be really nice to get some help. My only military expierence comes from being an E-4/HM3, and I have alot to learn about the creation/implementation of a military organization. Any help that is offered will be graciously accepted and appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Maybe another member has the a copy of the posts, but earlier this year we saw a string of posts from someone who claimed to be in the proces of trying to establish an OKSG. The thread has been deleted.

I'm not sure what happened to him or his effort.

Just wondering if anyone out there has followed to this thread on Oklahoma attempts for an SDF?.

I pay pretty close attention to this and have all sorts of google and yahoo news alerts set up to catch SDF news stories and haven't heard anything out of Oklahoma.

I live in Goodwell, out in the panhandle. Was in the SC State Guard before I moved out here, I'd gladly help in any way I can.

Probably better off starting from scratch on your own lobbying folks. Haven't heard anything else out of Oklahoma lately.
