I have two retired Navy individuals whom I am in contact with who both retired after 20 years of service and are asking me what options do they have with the Air National Guard. The recruiters on base give me a blank stare when I asked them about it. Anyone on here in the know about how these guys can continue giving back, as they both are dead set on still serving in some capacity. Anyone more versed in the retired reserve program and care to shed some light. A search was performed on here and nothing could be found.
Thank you in advance,

Cameron

DOD has in April 2008 instated a program in order to fill in key MOS gaps as well as skills that allows for retired service members not medically retired to return to active duty status.
You can call the number to HRC of your service component.
I am referring to "Army" only, since I retired from the Army. I'm "fairly" certain the other services have as well, but I didn't get very deep in research because rarely do I find anyone fighting to get back in.

Hey SgtD Were you my drill sergeant in 68?
You seem mean enough ! Have a happy to you and yours !

I appreciate your service and esp. your rear window sticker on your avatar, but like was said, I performed a search and really couldnt get a non-lawyer written regulation(other than Title 10 reg).
I also have found mil.com members find out about changes far before a Title 10 reg gets updated.

Numbers... thanks for your input. I asked the contacts in my unit about it and they just gave me a blank look. I just want to make sure to have a good response for these guys who dedicated 20 years + of their life in service to this great country.
It must be dependant on where you live, because there is no shortage of retired military that want to continue to serve, hence my question on here to see if anyone had any personal experience with the retired reserve program.
