I am searching for a Wilfred McCoy who was in American Samoa about mid 1940's, 1946-1947 to be approximate. American Samoa was used as a naval base then and since has been a US Territory. Our grandmother passed away leaving us with only little information, such as his name. Our father has been searching for him, a memorial of him, or any family he may have to find some closure of not knowing him all these years. He is very ill and we're hoping we can do this for him before anything happens to him. Please help me find our grandfather. He was in the Navy and was in American Samoa those years. He never saw our father when he was born because he was called to duty elsewhere. My grandmother having other children, could not just pick up and leave with him.
