Can any recruiters give me any information on the dependency waiver? I'm married and am expecting my third child in about 7 months, but wish to join after the child is born. Any information would be wonderful!
It's easy. You have to do a couple of forms that show that joining the Army will improve the financial security of your family. Any recruiter worth a darn will know how to do this.
If you need more specific information, feel free to email me at jonpaul.guinn@us.army.mil
Being a semi-recruiter (week 5 or 6 at school) now I shouldn't tell people this, but honestly, if your joining to improve a financial situation(I don't know if you are), bad idea, I still see married e-4's and NCO's with multipule kids on food stamps. Expect your first 6 pay checks to be 500-700 every two weeks, if that.
