My name Is Kenneth MacTiernan and I am one of the Directors of the AMT Society which is a rapidly growing organization within the aircraft maintenance community. I am posting here to inform people of the Maintenance Skills Competition which will be held at the Aviation Industry Expo at the Dallas Convention Center next March 18-19, 2008. I am the Cochairman for this competition which will enable teams of mechanics and individual mechanics to compete head to head in events from safety wiring, hardware idetnification to avionics troubleshooting and composite repair. I would like to extend an invitation to the USCG to enter a team and highlight the skills needed to be a Coast Guard Aircraft Technician. Over 5000 people will attend the Expo next March and having a Coast Guard team representing our Armed Forces will only help raise the public's awareness of the knowledge, skill & integrity that is demanded to provide safe, airworthy aircraft 24/7, 365 days a year. If there are any questions I may be reached at (619) 395-6681 or at jetdr@cox.net. Sincerely, Kenneth MacTiernan Director AMTA
Tom, you seriously need to understand the difference between soliciting useless information and informing others of an event that helps promote the military. Perhaps the only one spamming is you? If you have a problem with me trying to promote Marine Corp AMTs I am sorry. I would like to think that the USCG moderator can decide what is best for this forum, just like the other forums for our Armed Forces.
