I really don't agreed with this new retirement plan. I think members already in uniform need to be grandfathered that way it won't affect us and let services members have the choice. Why wait until your 65 years of age to receive your retirement. The government should match TSP contributions which they do not for service members I have been investing in TSP since the program has gotten started and the government does not match contributions with the uniform service members!! The retirement plan should give you a 100 percent for 30 years all the stress pain, and sacfrice we troops make!! if your looking to keep retention down I suggest add more bonus for service members already in instead of new recruits. You will keep more service members if you gave more bonus for mid-careers and careerist. You now have mid and careerist getting out know and not even caring about the time and years they have invested. The Committee need to fight for that and more pay raise for enlisted service members especially Seniors who have to pretty much train officers or advised them. I sometimes wonder where these panels or committees get there information from. I have come to the terms that noone goes and talk to enlisted members or current members wearing the uniform. No offense to retirees but they don't know what we service members need or want. If you really want to know how service members feel go and talk to lower enlistees and Seniors. I'm sure you will get all the answers you need.
