When is this insanity going to end. The DOD is constantly wanting to raise the tricare rates. I am just a navy retired E-5. I read the article on military.com and I have never received a $300.00 increase in retired pay. It is bad enough that back in 1997 that I had to go to tricare. I was promised in June 1971 when I joined the greatest nay in the world. that if I stayed for over 20 years I would get free medical and dental. well let me tell you by the time I retired the dental was gone and then 4 years after I had to get on tricare prime. at navy hospitial they told us either get on tricare or not have medical care. every one needs to rught there congressman or senator and raise. The one person who keeps pushing this David Chu in charge of DOD Personnel. He has constantly compained that younger military retirees should have to pay more and sp do TFL. Well this is sick, all the tricare for life personnel have paid there dues as we younger military retirees. I gave 21 years 10 months and 22 days to the navy. then in 1997 I worked for DOD as a civilian for another 11 years. so to sum it up I gave this government 32 years of my adult life. I feel that the government should live up to it's part of the bargin. As I said in the beginning when will this insanity end it looks like to me that the Older military retirees like my self are the ones have to foot the bill. we need to go to washington dc and have a demonstration showing congress they are not going to walk all over us.
