To the person who made the previous post regarding to how the CSB/Redux is a scam - you were on point when you stated that "economics wasn't your strong suit".
The CSB/Redux was designed to entice soldiers to do EXACTLY what you are planning to do - stay in past 20 years. The money could be put to many uses such as buying a house, making investments, or starting a business. Just because you feel you shorted yourself by taking the money and paying off debt does NOT mean the program is bad for anyone else and should go away.
Congratulations on making E-9. However, I truly hope that the reason you are planning to stay until you get 30 years is because YOU ARE WILLING TO FIGHT AND DIE FOR THE DEFENSE OF YOUR COUNTRY instead of just trying to make up for whatever retirement percentages you feel you lost.
