Has there been any mention of possibly adding those SBP enrolees during the early 1990's Open Season, to the Paid Up after 30 years law? We are paying a hefty "Penalty" for not signing up when we retired. They can call the extra we are paying whatever they want, but we are still paying for past premiums, just like those that signed up later, which they paid up in a lump sum, where we have been making payments. I am currently paying a 47% "Penalty" on top of my SBP Premium. Under current law I will have to pay this the rest of my life and I have already paid it for 15 years. At the time this was acceptable, because there were no other options, but the law has been changed and it should have effected everyone, but it does not. JMc
