RE: http://www.military.com/features/0,15240,170503,00.html What your failing to address is the vocational rehabilitation act of chapter 31, veterans are not getting any assistance pay wise other than monthly disabillitly check and not much else, the state of california school system is a sham, if you are going for a professional certificate, in fields of expertise and experience employers are looking for, the school is not honoring it pay wise, but honoring it if you are getting a masters degree, or a degree, I have a degree, this is the biggest contradiction if there ever was one! They don't honor your experience and time, or shoring up your competence with a professional certificate, but will honor you getting a book degree. The vocational rehabilitation act chapter 31 is discriminatory, towards disabled veterans! No assistance is given other than paid books and paid classes!

As I write I am writing to say the Vietnam Veterans of America Volume 14-3, Fall 2008 issue, came through, and changed the way California was dealing with Veterans going to school, in getting assistance, Veterans and Active military will now be given assistance go to school and Veterans who are on Vocational Rehabillitation Act Chapter 31, and all military personel taking classes online, taking professional certificate classes in extension study, will get paid, that was confirmed with my VA Rep, thanks to of you you guys out there keep studying and be safe.
