If she had a security clearance, wonder what else she may have stolen and sold...
How can someone who is an E-6 do such a stupid thing?...
It just defies description!...
Think that she got off lite, given the amount of money and what she did with it...
To be a thief is bad enough but, to be a stupid theif on top of it...
Sheez!...
Respectfully, SUNLINER81

Some how I feel that if this idiot was a male he would have received a BCD also. Why is this thief allowed to remain in?

20596323: The Air Farce gives out enlisted rank pretty slowly. You have to screw up badly before they pull stripes. I am surprised, however, that she's allowed to stay in. If she's a Technical Sergeant, she's probably well past the 10 year mark.

What gets me is if this was a man, he'd be thrown and not with an honorable discharge... but because she's a woman, well, she probably gave a Monica Lewinsky or two to the judge.

Women are held to a much lower standard than men in the Air Force. The finest example I know of this is the Jill Metzger fraud.

Just to clear up a little about the member being able to stay in the Air Force... After the sentence is served the Commander will have the option to admin release her. This is what will be done and will be the easiest way to get rid of the member. So she will not beable to stay in. In addition an A1C will have to seperate for no other reason than they do not have the rank requirement to be as long as she has. I am sure she is at her 10 year mark and an E-4 cant be in past 10 years let alone an E-3. Rest assured she will be on the street with a Federal Record all for a few thousand $$...

she must have slept with the judge who presided over this kangaroo court, for someone who steals thousands of dollars in the military and only gets 90 days in the slamer!!!! come on, this thief will strike again and this time some soldiers, marines, and airmen, airwomen, will be hurt or killed when she sells some of our secrets to some spies, watch your 6 (six) on this one troops!!!!

I would say that she paid the price dearly for all her greed. The judge gave her a very light sentence. Her next step should be removal from the service with no benefits at all.

Rank has nothing to do with it...I've seen more senior people caught and punished for the same thing over the years...sad but true...and agree, the punishment seems a bit light here.

Actually, you're wrong. I saw a Tech Sgt get busted to E-3 for running a gambling ring on base... he had 13 years in. He was allowed to stay in. He did make E-4 again and retired an E-4... his commander thought enough of him to let him stay in.

The Air Farce has always been easy on women. It's a double standard that must go.

What kind of judge gives a convicted felon such a light sentence and not a dishorable discharge?
I wonder if the judge is a lawyer? In any event he shouldn't have the option to hand down such a light sentence. No room in the Air Force for a convicted felon.

A lot of information is lacking here.
A BCD is warrented after release from the slammer. The military does not have room for her type. Cool

Given the amount of money involved, I doubt an Article 15 was even offered. $40 - $60 maybe but not $4K to $6K.
