I have been receiving treatment for PTSD (group or individual) for the past 28 years. I was the first postal employee forcibly retired for PTSD back in 1986. It's important for veterans to know they are not alone in their feelings. For years I felt isolated and thought I was the only one who felt the way I did, and all my PTSD symptoms became personality traits and I believed it was all a normal part of my psych instead of war related. It can be a horrible way to live.
I wish we'd stop sending troops who have been diagnosed with PTSD back to a war zone. We just had another one who was previously diagnosed kill himself.
