Give e'm both barrels is what I say. How about helping the future vets by getting the Army to stop deploying soldiers diagnosed with PTSD? The idea of sending these injured troops back to the AO with meds is morally and operationally wrong.
Cool Cool

According to the author, "We will meet with dozens of members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to ensure that new veterans play a critical role in the rebuilding of America's economy. Think of it as a whole new kind of surge."

Don't let the Democrats read this; if they hear the word surge, they will surely denounce anything you do as a failure.

Good luck - I am cynical that veterans will get anything except "I'll look into that."

I thank the Afghan and Iraq vets. However, not alot of the population are Iraq/afghan vets, but alot of the population is in need of the Stimulus too.

I understand, from the link that Afghan and Iraq veterans will play a critical role in shaping the economy.

But why would Iraq and Afghan veterans, who were on the front lines of the war on terror, care about the welfare of the rest of us who chose to be in front of the lines of the job and education opportunities?

You know what Cybercafe. If it were up to me and I could start the draft, you would be the first one I'd call right to the frontline. Country 1st. Then take care of your self. God help this Nation.

What kind of logic is that? Most pointedly certainly some did not go into battle because of PTSD, remember the soldier slapped by Patton? Exactly. We certainly should take advantage of our advances in both technology and science to benefit our troops, to do anything less is criminal, ultimately your point about WWII soldiers is incorrect and utterly ridiculous.
