Being bamboozled by those well-educated Nigerians are they?

Handing over bank account info and credit card numbers as signs of 'good faith' while they help the Minister of Petroleum get his wife's clothing allowance out of the country?

Poor, simple, sojers, they should have been investing in something 'decent' like Enron, or AIG.

The alternative looks like another nasty data leak or an inside job.

This sounds more like credit card and bank card scams thanthem giving out their personal information. Especially given the fact that 'buying splurges' are occuring outsied of England as well.

They probably need to take a hard look at the online/system security of the Base Exchange System and Banks on base, as well as having the British take a look at the local employees.

i am constantly being bombarded with spams stating i have won a lot of money rather than answer there is a site spam@uce.gov that investigates these frauds. I believe that they are people that try to steal your identity and in some cases they have asked for copies of driver's licenses and passports, addresses, bank accounts etc. I also believe that there may be terrorists involved given the type of information they ask for. I believe that by giving what these people ask for and the countries of origin that they are trying to get copies of addresses and passports to illegally enter the United States again report it to spam@uce.gov by adding it to your address list and forward all suspicious email to them and they will investigate it.
