Indeed. I cannot help but remember all the 50 times or MORE that Rudy exclaimed his part in 9-11, took credit for the aftermath as if it was something to be proud of... and yet we KNOW he is full of it.

A shocking truth to be reminded of on a day that should be remembered, honored and celebrated for those who gave their lives... and yet, WHERE is OSAMA?

Sickening.

While I understand the frustration and disgust the writer expresses, this is not an issue for the federal government to be involved in. The property is under lease to a private developer, and all of the legal wrangling about estate issues, insurance, and other b.s. from a bunch of money grubbing city folk is what is holding up the show. The anger should be directed at them, and the prod to get moving pointed at the contractor and local government. The most the feds can really do is express their feelings.

Agree, though you left out the families of those killed on 9/11 who have had considerable voice in the process and have had difficulty agreeing among themselves, much less with anyone else, on what constitutes a fitting memorial.

I am also at loss as to where Giuliani comes into this. He was out of office as of 31 Dec 2001, 3+ months after the attack. Bringing him up seems to me to be a bit of a red herring as it pertains to this particular issue.

Unfortuneately, this is a NYC/NY matter as it is theirs and a private developer problem. The people of NY should be ashamed, outraged and horrorifed that thewir elected officals & private interests have failed to recognize the valor and sacrifice which this site entails. I wish the people of NYC would take to the streets today in mass and demand action- or send home in shame their elected officals. We already have memorials in place at the Pentagon and the final resting place of Flight 93, yet where the biggest loss of life and the greatest number of heroes were lost stands stark & forgotten. SHAME ON NYC & the state of NY!!! At least today let us that have held the line for freedom, stand tall & somber and remember our comrades and those brave civilians that joined our ranks on 9/11/01. Those in NYC, please leave flowers/flags at the WTC site in both dedication to the fallen and a pledge that this shame will not linger longer! Amen

Wow....talk about bitterness......and I'm left wondering why you haven't left any remarks on the 9-11 post on here today, but rather took the time to pass your embitterment on to those of us who really feel for those lost....???

it is shameful that there is still a big hole where a skyscraper should be halfway done by now.
The gaping hole is a testament to inaction and bitterness with the 9-11 families holding up progress on many fronts, many whom do not want to see anything except a memorial built there. WHY???
This hole signifies much, mostly that some people love to dwell in the past and do not want to progress into the future.

There's still a hole there because no one is serious about it.

I want to remind you since obviously you have such a hard time with what goes on upstairs from your posts is that Rudy was voted out as Mayor of NYC and they extended his term to handle the crisis of 9/11 and its aftermath. He did his job and did as well as it could be done under the circumstances. You might want to point the finger instead at the Gov of NY state and the Mayor of NYC when you want to point fingers.

Its hard for Rudy to oversee things such as what your indicating was his responsibility when he wasn't even in freaking office. God hates liberal retards so you better duck and cover...

WHY??? could be because of the blood soaked ground...the blood of their Family members and Friends is their...I don't know about you but part of me died that day...

Ah... another poignant post. KNOW he is full of what, exactly? What part of the aftermath are you referring to? The rescue effort? Or are you actually implying that the former Mayor of NYC should have saddled up and hunted for Bin Laden himself? Or somehow lead the charge of spec op troops?

With the partisan bickering and posturing over the rebuild effort and some of the outlandish and offensive suggestions that came out I'd be just as happy with a smoking crater as the reminder, at least you won't forget what it means when you see it.

Slight correction ... he wasn't voted out. He wasn't eligible for re-election since he had already served his allowed number of terms.
