the only thing that scares me is obama...we didnt create enemies they came to us... and i dont think we are a nation living in fear we are just doing what needs to be done for the past 30+ years we didnt do anything back then and it grew worse and popped in our face and took the lives of 3000+ American citizens.... we are not doing anything that hasnt already been done in war time in the past so i dont see why some people are freaking out claiming they are loosing this and that,... hell most of them cant even say what they have lost because unless you are involved with terrorism you arnt effected by it... well if you share the same name as a terrorist... but that is really expected ....

We, as a country, are doing less than we ever have during a time of war as far as the civilian population goes... except for the whinning and political BS and protests... We haven't given up any constitutional freedoms, maybe we have just difigned them a little more clearly and people are being held responsible for their actions. |

Good stuff, Jeff. Besides 1984 you can throw in Brave New World and Animal Farm to describe the last 8 years. Bill Moyers and others tried to alert his listeners early on that the neoconservative movement included admiration of Machiavelli and Leo Strauss. The only thing that will scare America (most of it anyway,) is for someone or something to close down the Mall of America, and shut off Wal-Marts trade with China.
The lions share of the population of America is SPOILED!!!! plain and simple. We can debate this till the cows come home, but its all preaching to the chior, as most of the people on Military.com have paid their dues. We may not always agree (understatement) but we have given something back to Our country. The only thing that scares me, is if something really does happen, will the no loads and taker's of America have the sand to step and be counted. |

yea close down the malls yes and the walmarts only if they get shut down too... wal marts didnt always get their stuff from china so them switching wouldnt freak out anyone... but if they shut down thats different..... |

Confused maybe, but that's only because of 24/7 cable news, Meyer, Huber etc. Scared, is when that driver behind you is talking on the cell, drinking coffee and combing her hair, you look at the speedometer and it says 85 MPH and they signal that their passing.

WalMart can't switch........ when they annointed China as the primary supplier, all of the CAPABILITY to make anything at all was unbolted and shipped to where the jobs were (china). We have as much to fear from business leaders who put personal profit (the american way) above our national interests (America itself). they are the ones who are doing the IRREPARABLE damage. |
