Last I heard, the Talibs left between 40 and 100 of their own on the field, trying and failing to take a position they could have had for free a few days later... s'pose those dumbazzes will ever learn?

What can you say there is stupid, then there is Taliban stupid
May God be with the family, friends, and unit of all those who die giving their all.
A hero is not defined by how they die but how they lived

Unbelievable.
Makes me feel kinda small.
I thought we had these F'ers BEAT.
WTF happened? Why are they still taking the initiative?
Makes me so mad I could spit.

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

Awesome story. Makes one proud to be aqn American. Two sentences caught my eye:

"After maybe two hours of intense combat, some of the soldiers' guns seized up because they expelled so many rounds so quickly. Insurgent bullets and dozens of rocket-propelled grenades filled the air. So many RPGs were fired at the soldiers that they wondered how the insurgents had so many."

This is what happens when you create a government composed of dope dealers and corrupt Islamists. If we don't get rid of Karzai and company, we will lose over there. And unlike Iraq, this is a just war, where we have EVERY right to be there.

Those RPG's come curtesy of the very government that we support. Get rid of these Shcitheads, and start backing secular forces, whether Monarchists of the Right, or Communists of the left - Preferably both, as long as their not Fundamentalist Islamists.

I says in this story that Cpl. Jason Boger's M-240 seazed up due to over heating due to his firing several hundred rounds during a short period of time.

I've never fired one of these or even seen one. My weapon was the M-60 and I fired it a lot! It was NOT unusual to start a gun-run in our UH 1-C Huely Gunship and fire the -60 in one long burst from push-over to pull out and beyond. That could be several hundered rounds and I NEVER had a -60 seaze up due to over heating. NEVER! The weapon may not have been perfect, but over heating was not one of it's faults.

So, tell me, what is so great about the M-240? I'd like to hear from someone that's used this thing and really knows what he's talking about.
