RE: http://www.military.com/opinion/0,15202,160997_2,00.html
I suspect Huber's detracters will write lame sarcasms about foil helmets and supposed "conspiracy theories" but JH is correct in chiding much of what gets aired or printed as "news" by what is primarily a profit-motivated and corporate enterprise, the so-called "media." The major news outlets are no more likely to engage in responsible journalism as McDonald's is likely to switch to soy-burgers and carrot sticks. The recent episode in the Straights was oddly coincidental with Bush's trip to the ME which happened to include lobbying for support against Iran. I'll go get my foil helmet. |

Would not call you a foil helmet head here.
But let's just assume I would have to pay for Mr. Hubers verbal trash, then for sure I wouldn't do. Which I tend to believe most others here wouldn't also. Value of his articles tends towards zero, and would not allow him to even buy soy-burgers. To criticize media for being profit-motivated, uh, is this any news ? Criticize their bias ? Oh well, yes, exactly this behavior is responsible for the negative journalism the troops get all day. But as in this case it fits not his bias, it earns his hefty critics. Hypocrisy at its best. Don't even know why I read it, every time I read his crap, it drags me down.

Huber is right on target here. He has more credibility than anyone from this administration, or the administration's mouthpieces in the press.
