Great so far. I never knew about this conflict, but I know Marines always do the most with the least. |

It seems you do with less because your superiors believe they can do the same job with weapons used to win the last war. Senior Marine officers today, I think, have a better grasp of reality than their predecessors[sp]. They push for top of the line equipment now[MRV's Mine resistent vehicles]and sometimes get them.

I'm glad the Corps is getting the best. In Vietnam, most of the stuff we got was from the Army after they didn't want it. One time, they even gave us K rations and big light blue pineapple grenades (I swear they were practice grenades that didn't work)with 1944 stamped on the cases.

I thought this thread would be about TEXAS.

I thought it would be about the coming political conventions.

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause. Paul Tindale |
Ya, but I thought it was about California. Isn't history great? Gunboat diplomacy at it's best! I don't suppose that you might have noticed that US actions actually constituted an action tantamount to a declaration of war? But, as that was what we did during that period, we did it very well. Thankfully, the Koreans don't hold that little action against us as we pulled their shorts out of the fire during '50 -'53. Have a good day!~!

Last I heard, there was only one Savage in the Bay Area, although his Nation seems to have spread beyond the borders. |
