Afghanistan never mattered. Think about it, a country of that size and we've been unable to nail down that country? All we did was allow Osama Bin Laden to move from his Afghanistan sanctuary to his Pakistan sanctuary nothing else of significance has changed, resurgent Taliban and increased sales of opium how can we say we are serious? Factor in Osama's new protected address and compare that to our shrill cries of Al Qaeda in Iraq and nothing adds up---it is about the oil.
