Just a return to the levels of November 2006 when the American people told the Republicann and the Democratic parties to end deployment to Iraq.

It is incumbant upon BOTH PARTIES to cut the funding and bring the troops home ASAP !

The political situation in Iraq has not changed. Once they cut back on the troops more killings are going to occur. Helez why do you think just because we leave all the killings will stop and each faction of Iraqi's are going to cuddle up and love each other? Nope ain't gona happen. I can tell you what will happen. More crazy extremist are going to take over, genocide will occur and will will have even more wackos out to be able to plan our destruction sooner and easier. Unfortunately pulling out is not the answer (just as going in in the first place was not the answer).

I still say G.B. Should move his office to Bagdad until this mess is over.

Wait a second...We sent 5 extra brigades, began combat operations with them (losing around 200 soldiers) in the beginning of July and now they are already talking about pulling the surge forces out beginning in about 3 months? I suppose some sort of miracle is going to allow the Iraqi forces to maintain control of the ground this time? The surge was a complete waste of time, and resources, and we are unable to maintain it for any longer is what my mind is telling me.

Weather (sp) going in was right or wrong is a moot point , we're there . Now do we do like WWII and lock it down , rebuild , interlock monetarily , stabilize their gov, have them invest their money and labor to achive this , get some top cops over there to train their police force , it's gonna take time , it took decades to do so with Germany and I seem to recall Bush stateing before we went in that it could possibly take decades .The other choice is quite , become isolationists and watch the rest go down to terroist threats , Spains gone France is going , wheres Germany , they are being controled by the threat of terror acts against them . There aint a way to keep this under wraps or or isolate it . Its gotten to where we have to win or we're gonna lose big time . So I would suggest that all pay close attention to their elected reps and vote accodingly , our national apathy will hang us if people don't wake up . Once everyone else is gone then we're all alone , and that won't be good as in this the USA needs partners to survive , and no one will be there . Might go down with a bang but do you want to see that happen when it could have stopped there ?

Maybe when our troops startleaving the Iraqis will get a clue and start taking control of their country.( i know that taint likely but one can hope )

so yeah lets just stay in iraq for forever to secure our democracy for the future.. i got it.. how about we just keep pumping in u.s. soldiers until we are the majority here.. wait better yet .. lets just stay here.. keep on extending us.. don't let us go home.. i wonder if i should put serious thought into applying for my iraqi citizenship card..
