RE: http://www.military.com/opinio...15202,109838,00.html
Brian Well said!! I too am a white, middle class male from Oklahoma USA (and by the way - Sooner football is tops-but we do love the Huskers secondarily) - and I have never really understood racism. I came from a school with very few races other than white. I recall one Jewish person from my grade. So one would think my segregation would lead to uneducated views. To the contrary. I have never understood hatred of a person because of their color, creed, religion, country of origin, etc. Particularly here in the USA. We are all such a conglomeration of different identities. While I think hatred is an ever increasing minority view, I am still baffled. Regardless, thank you for your articulate and thoughtful words. I couldn't agree more. Although I am not a member of the armed services, thank you to all of the red, black, white, orange, yellow, purple and green individuals who protect my liberties every day. You are true heroes - size, shape, or color irrespective. JT |

It's just small and insignificant little people who have failed, because of their own inadequacy
and look for any reason, than their own responsibility, for their failures... So they pick a "them" and get angry and hate "them", when it should be "themselves", that they should be angry with... IMHO... Respectfully, SUNLINER81 |
