Yeah, Michelle -- you and your husband are sure gonna fix things for the military. He has promised to cut the force, end our world military advantage, and play house with our sworn enemies. Yeah, he sure has a plan to fix all the problems in the military alright. In a pig's eye! What a jackass.

People who have never had to deal with the "REAL" face of racism and injustice in America will never understand Michelle Obama's statement that this is the first time she is proud of her country. This is the first time America has demonstrated that we as a country can come together on the issues that concern us and ask for CHANGE, rather than continuing on the pig-headed path of carelessness and disregard of the Bush administration. I appreciate her genuine interest in the lives of military families and our soldiers overseas. At least she shows an interest..What has Cindy McCain done to reach out to our military families?? NOTHING!! Too busy spending her multi-million dollar fortune and visiting her 7 houses I presume..

Don't let Mrs. Obama fool you Shali334, she is the wife of a millionaire and a corperate executive in the healthcare industry. I do not believe that she has the military families at heart... and I don't know of a president in the last 30 years other than President Bush that has personally attended the funerals of soldiers that have fallen in a time of war.

I don't believe Mr Clinton attended any of the funerals of the Rangers that died in Somilia, GHW Bush didn't attend funerals of Gulf War KIA, President Reagan may have attended funerals associated with either Grenada or Panama... I seem to remember him doing so. Not Carter after the debacle in the dessert...

What had Michelle Obama done to reach out to military families other than words? Nothing, either... just living in her 1.5 million dollar house that was financed by an accused fellon.

Now there's a Marine that knows what he (or she - Terry?) is talking about. Given the failures of the present administration across the board, I might have been persuaded to vote for anyone that was not a Republican. However, after watching the last three or four days of the Democratic Convention and having our nose rubbed into all of this black "it's our turn" stuff and all these Martin Luther King comparisons etc., it is beginning to make a lot more sense seeing these former Hillary supporters vote for McCain. I suspect that I am not alone in being motivated to do almost anything to wipe that smug look off of Michelle Obama's face - This election isn't about the blacks getting even - it's about what's best for the country, and this is certainly not the time to elect a token black just to pacify a culture that has felt sorry for themselves for the past 100 years. Besides, who wants Michelle Obama smelling up the White House? POS is right. McCain not only has a fox for a wife, but now we got another babe for a VP. Yesterday's announcement of Palin for VP is going to win the election for McCain - I just hope that McCain and Palin do a better job than Bush.

Im sorry johnmayton, but I dont know which DNC you were watching..I saw nothing that would suggest that blacks are "waiting for their turn". Obama cannot and does not carry the whole african-american race on his shoulders, and him becoming president will not make up for over 100 years of injustice and ignorance. As far as blacks feeling sorry for themselves..I pity the fool who continues to stereotype whole races based upon a few media images and generalizations. I am african-american and I dont feel sorry for myself, because I have no reason to. Life is HARD for ANYONE born without a silver spoon in their mouth not just blacks..why make this a race issue when there are so many more important issues that we face in this country..I just hope whoever wins does a better job than we've seen the last 8 years!

The Obamas try to pass themselves off as common, hard working folk, but in reality are the result of wealth and privilege. They both have multiple degrees from Ivy league schools and are worth millions. Too bad the interviewer didn't ask her any "tough" questions. Every democrat president in my lifetime has held nothing but contempt for military members. The greatest support we ever received was from Republican presidents.

Right on Jack! Who was the last Deomocratic President who served in the military? And shali334, let me tell you what Cindy McCain is: She has been married to John for 28 years, suffered 3 miscarriages, a stroke in 2004 that required her to learn to walk again, she has a son at the Naval Academy, a son deployed in Iraq in the Marine Corps, is on the board for an organization that provides surgery for children in foreign countries, such as Thailand and Vietnam, who have birth defects-it's called Operation Smile-, her father was shot down in WWII, she has a Master's degree in Special Education and is very involved in children with Down's Syndrome, is on the board of the American Volunteer Team-a group that distributes medical aid around the world (including Africa), after the Gulf war she camped in the desert to ensure medical supplies were delivered to the people of Kuwait and she adopted a child from Bangladesh in 1991. She volunteers all over the world providing aid, most recently in Georgia, and humanitarian relief to people who have be ravaged by war and totalitarin governments. She does plenty for this country. I can't say the same for Michelle Obama--all I do is hear her complain. She and her husband made 4 million dollars last year--hardly struggling or like you or me. The Obama's are wealthy elitists and play the part well. Before you start running off at the mouth, you should get your facts straight. Cindy McCain has done more for this country than Michelle Obama will ever do. This reporter obviously lacks the basic interview skills to get the true Michelle Obama--you know, the one that said she was just recently proud of her country, or the one who wrote a paper in college slamming the white race. These two are a pair of jack-asses that have stumbled into stardom created by the media and are way out of their league.

Total BS, contradicted by B.O.'s own actions and words. She'll say anything to get her husband elected. This is typical "journalism" by Military.com, BTW. Look at who owns/controls/manages the site . . .

To shali334: I'll bet five of my paychecks against one of yours I've been called cracker, ******wood, honky, whiteboy etc... by blacks more times than Michelle Obama has been called derogatory names by whites. So the race issue used by her doesn't come into my equation and frankly ****es me off that she and any other black insinuates the words used against me are any less demeaning simply because I'm white. If six white guys beat up a black guy it's a hate crime, if six black guys beat up a white guy it's called a robbery/mugging. F U my friend. I'm one white boy that doesn't buy into that BS anymore. It's a two way street in my book.

If you want to know the background on this set of philosophical statements, read the text listed here.
" The Obama Nation, Leftist politics and the cult of personality." by Jerome R Corsi. PhD.
Currently on bookshelves.
The gist of this text, is an analyis of Obama's personal Autobiography. Reveals his associates, struggles for identity and why he is truly dedicated to self.

Maam. I would offer this for your thoughts.
Why didn't Mr Obama even mention the Black Caucus and their agenda for reform during his DNC last speech? I would say, because the deal had been made to curtail any mention of Blackness during the convention. Why in the world would this be, if not that the whole subject is waiting in the wings until the election is over. Then the Black Cacous will have their day.
Maam, This era is just not about Blacks, Whites and Yellows. This Election is simply about the USA being either Socialistic or Capitalistic.
Yes, the Candidate is multi racial. Yes, there are vital and intense Black issues. Be not fooled, the Left uses the Black issues as a divisive tool. Just as they use the Women's Rights issue as a tool to divide men from women.
The issue is FREEDOM. This is what we have to lose or retain.
Get out into the net. Look at CPUSA.org for instance. There you will see a repeat of the DNC Planks, a repeat of Obama's Issues Web site. It is extremely plain. We have Four Freedoms. We will lose them all in the first 100 days, after Mr. O's Coronation.

So we all have just over one month to make a choice and these two are the best this nation can do for Presidential choices? It took almost two years to get to this point. We are all in for a rough four years no matter what choice we make. May God Bless America because the politicians have sold their souls and our country to the Devil. No politician has stepped up and followed through with what they said they would do for the country or for the people after they made it in to office. Give me a choice such as Jesse Ventura for President and maybe as his running mate lets have Ted Nugent. I'd say our constitutional rights will be protected as well as our Country and Allies. Yes, we should have better choices than we have. I like mine better.

I absolutely agree with pretty much everyone else here. This woman is just trying to blow smoke up our asses. I feel very disconcerted about the possibility of this idiot becoming our commander-in-chief. Everything he says just stinks of horse****. They view the military with contempt and disdain. He has no real principles that he stands by, his associations are dubious at best and the whole race issue; hell he's only half black!!! It amazes me that people can't see the Obama's for what they really are; typical egotistical politicians who will say whatever is expedient and whatever they think will get them elected.

Michelle Obama seems to forget that we heard her husband tell a graduating class to get an education because if they don't, they will end up in Iraq. He had alot of b*lls giving a speech in Germany where they probably have the most troops stationed outside of the States. What the Obamas have failed to realized is that many troops are educated, paid for by the military. As far as a lack of services, we never had to worry about having a roof over our heads, have seen places some only dream of and have been provided health care. Obama has already announced he will cut defense spending. They are his words. He has no respect for the military. with that I wonder how troops support him, unless they like many others have fallen for the the second greatest hoax (the first being global warming) perpetrated by the liberal media.

Any man who would call any woman a Piece Of Sh-t, no matter who her husband is, no matter what color they are, no matter what the topic is...? That man is a coward, and just as likely learned to do it in a home where that sort of insult was common-place.

I don't see Dems saying such things about GW's wife, I don't see them saying it about McCain's wife and if they DID? I would label them as the Cowards they are as well.

What a punk.

Sorry, but you are absolutely wrong(or you are purposely lying) about that. Obama NEVER said it. Not EVER. I know who did say it, but it was NOT Barack Obama.

Try reasearching your talking points, 1st.

First you say it IS about being Black, and that we should FEAR the Black Caucus, then you say it is all about "freedom". You can't have it both ways, so which is it?

I think we all understand what you meant, and what sort of country you'd like to live in... an all pasty-WHITE nation. Correct? Sorry, that is no longer possible. Unless you move to say, Siberia.

Yes, so why don't you just do that?
