I could see that book being shown to a Marine Corps Drill Instructor...

Wouldn't get past the cover jacket!

Know the Game
Dont be a smart ass
Speak with vocalization
Show heart
Show hussle

1 ,3 and 5 go hand in hand with SGT Volkins opinion form his list basically that's knowing the game plain and simple. Instructors tend to ease up around the 6th and 7 th week of trainig and becomes somewhat more lax, because the once civilian is becoming a miltary personnelman. Im showing my list here....as I to am experienced in that sense. Being a smart ass can kill you. Heart and hussle literally go hand in hand. If you show that you have game and that extra thing to make you go the extra mile, it goes a long way. Just my opinion.

I love this list. When I was in BT I would always smirk because I knew Drill couldn't hit me and I knew it was all a systematic way of training recruits (If I knew he could hit me the smile would've gone away). My drill told me once told me if I was in the dark a mile away he would know who I was (that's special attention for you). I stayed in the dirt pushing the into the earth. Through all the pain, agony and victory we learned to admire our Drill Sergeants. They were polished, knowledgeable, sharp, dedicated and militant. Once drills notice the recruits understand there transition from civilian to military personnel they became approachable with life conversation and showed a personal side.
