So let me get this straight: If fighting a 4GW isn't Isreals strength, and our incumbant president got much of his advice for 4GW from Isreal, and another load of "help" from the reality-challenged neocon-facists (which has worked out so well!)...

Maybe this is why the US has been so successful in foreign policy over the past 8 years!

Well, Lind definitely doused Huber in this analysis, but he leaves out the Iran equation as far as Hamas and Hezzbollah fighting in Palestine and Lebanon. He also forgets to these groups came from the Islamic Brotherhood whose roots are in Egypt. Easier said than done.

Unfortunatley, it is Iran that is the problem with this situation and the US will have to sit down with them or destroy them (either peacefully through culture change/propaganda or violently through coup-de-tat/war).

So Mr. Lind's solution for rockets from Gaza landing in Israel is to cut a deal with Hamas. But Hamas has already said unequivocally "no deals". He also seems to think that irregular forces not under the control of Hamas are responsible for these acts, but it has been pretty conclusively proven that Hamas themselves ARE actually responsible.

Right. Well, with respect to Mr. Lind, that ain't gonna work. In fact history has proven that no conciliatory approach has ever worked with these religious extremists. They will not negotiate. They will not bargain. They are steadfast in their mission, and will remain so as long as they think it buys them a seat at the table with the "big boys". They're making a power play for control of the region, and their own people are pawns.

The only real way to defeat them is to keep fighting them and killing them until they finally say "enough". More innocent people will die unfortunately, and that is regrettable, but Hamas is to blame for that. Especially when they hide like cowards among the very people they're supposedly protecting.

Wow, this nut throughly confused me. Cut a deal with Hamas? How the blazes do you cut a deal with a group that says it's end game is your erradication as a people & a country? Hamas has technically overthrown it's opponents in Gaza'a govt, and in sense declared war against it's Israeli neighbor. It is probably very hard to be morally correct when Hamas dumps 700 rockets in a year in your backyard!
