Powerful stuff. Whether by design or by accident, the efficacy of the guerrilla or insurgent or anti-American or anti-Western or terrorist or all-the-above campaign(s) to frustrate the Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz agenda is a matter of record. Unless that agenda was to establish a permanent U.S. Military presence in Iraq come Hell or high water. Signs are that the Bush/Cheney "Unitary Executive" Administration will make sure that PNAC agenda will be served. The Wolfowitz promise of a war paid for by Iraqi oil is also a matter of record. Of course, that kind of "prediction" resulted in his being appointed head of the World Bank. And we know how THAT turned out. And to think this guy was #2 in the DOD for four years. It's not that Saddam was that bright. It's that the folks who went after him might have sort of made him look that way.
