QUOTE: A basic rule of history is that the inevitable eventually happens. If you keep on smoking in the powder magazine, you will at some point blow it up. No one can predict the specific event or its timing, but everyone can see the trend and where it is leading. ______________________________________________ By God...I think the Beer in Germany may have helped Mr. Lind's Thought Process! I believe he is suggesting that we need to start tamping down the Bellicose Rhetoric coming out of the Executive Branch and many of the Conservative Think Tanks? |

......................................... I'm sure that was Mr. Lind's message , but I can't see that the Jimmy Carter and Dems method of leadership is the answer. Surrender is not an option nor is appeasement. |

1) Carter, last I heard, is not running for President. 2) the Dems "method of leadership"(I'm trying to figure out what that is) is no worse than the GOP method. Between GOP arrogance and Democrat indecision I'm hard pressed as to which has greater potential for death and destruction. 3) No one's talking about "surrender." No one is talking about "appeasement." Avoiding WW-Next(a neoconservative guru is saying it would be "IV" rather than "III") will involve negotiations and compromises. Not exactly hallmarks of current ME policy. |
