That was a dumbazz way to end any semblance of a productive life on his part.

A felony conviction in his record (for threatening the President no less), unwanted notoriety, and a lifetime of the Secret Service watching you like a hawk.........

When Kliton visited us, all wpns bolts had to be removed. Obama would not know a bolt from a take-down pin. He has probably never fired a "gun". We did not vote for the Pinko BHO--74% of us voted for McCain, the warrior.

The way our country was, as opposed to totalitarian nations, used to be described in this anectode about an exchange between President Truman and dictator Stalin.

Harry Truman: In America we have freedom of speech. Why any citizen can walk up to the Wite Hous and say "The President of the United States is a no good SOB".

Joe Stalin: In USSR we have same freedom. any Soviet ctizen can walk up to the Kremlin and say "The President of the United States is a no good SOB".

Our country used to be set apart from the totalitarian nations by our sense of humor, not takking ojurselves too seriously, and recogninzing a jerk for being just a jerk.

Regardless of what the Marine said, or how seriously he meant it, etc., we have nonetheless become like "them".

Over 40 years ago it was explaned to us!
( He is your COMMANDER IN CHIEF )
You are to respect the office and position he holds.
Over the last 40 or more years my personal opinion for past presidents (remains in my MIND)
I think this was good advice given to me.
Now this young Man will never be able to Vote because of his actions.
God Bless our fighting men of our country!

2571722 So you think Dubya time in service was honorable. We all know HW was hiding his little buddy so he wouldn't have to go to war. An act more despicable when you consider daddy bush served honorably.

It would seem that there is a whacko movement to hijack Mil.com...
These people are showing up and posting no data, other than to be officers or enlisted and then they bombard thread after thread and site after site...
Hope the mods are onto this...
A major hijacking of Mil.com appears to be underway...

Obama was not the president at the time this alledged comment was made. Of curse we do not know under what context or conditions it was stated or was he over heard by some zealot. Who knows what the truth is here. However, if Hanoi Jane is able toi still walk around absolutly free (assuming she has no conscience)after her highly documented treason to the United States of America and then able to amass millliosn of dollars through her exploits, why would they take this Marine's career away fom him before he is even tried for using the 1st ammendment, a right we right to preserve!

The bottom line is that person needs to take responsibility for his actions. Therefore, this should be a lesson to all individuals who have issues with the president to suck it up and move on. Also rather than being angry redirect that energy and obtain a college education, so you can want to be a President some day or whatever career you choose to pursue.

This is a sad story for a young man, as well intentioned as he might have thought he was, to have potentially condemned his own future to the trash bin.

It is also sad that our once grand republican form of government has devolved into an oligarchy similar to the eastern block countries where we kill dissent in the name of protecting our glorious leader.

I am very concerned about the direction our country is taking.

We have tough times ahead.

No matter how you feel about a President (current or otherwise)or their policies if you call them CinC they should be given the respect the office and the position demands. IMHO whether or not you agree with Obama's (or Bush's) decisions it's your duty as members of the US Armed Forces to follow the orders. I don't agree with a lot that has gone on with the current administration, but for all of our sake I hope whatever the POTUS decides to do works. People threatening Obama (or Bush) gets nothing accomplished, and makes their own lives far worse than it has to be. I didn't vote for Obama, and am FAR from liberal, but everyone(including me) has to get used to the fact for the next four years, he's the boss.

And you asked this and made this statement for what purpose?

Our elected officials may not always be right, popular or smart they were however elected. We who have served should understand that the President IS for better or worse the Commander and Chief of our armed forces.

This young MARINE was only 20 years old. We do not know if he was kidding, being sarcastic or even drinking at the time. The point is there are certain things that even in a country that prides itself on free speech, one just cannot say.

You cannot yell ‘fire’ in a crowed theater nor can you threaten the life of the President. Love the President or hate him that young MARINE was wrong, dead wrong and any service member worth his or her salt knows this.

Above any other attribute, the willingness to do ones duty, whether pleasant or unpleasant is the number one attribute of a soldier, sailor airman and especially MARINE. Rounds fired enemy killed are meaningless without that call to duty. Without that DUTY its just noise and murder.

When I was in the service 40 years ago, the marines were patriotic, courageous and almost fearless. I am sure they are today. This man's words should not reflect on anything to do with the Marine Corps. This is a different time. We now have our first Black president, a man of great intelligence, integrity and sensitivity to the needs of veterans. No one, civilian or military has the right to threaten the life of President Obama, our country's Commander-in-Chief and if they do they should suffer the consequences.
