This should have been tossed into the round file. An anonymous letter written 18 years after the fact points to a woman scorned. This would not have been investigated unless there were a lot of folks who were looking for a way to get rid of him. I'd like to see more about the "Investigation" and who was behind it.

I am in agreement with you...as you said...it seems like someone has it in for him to bring up an anonymous letter 18 years after the fact...

What a fricking shame.....18 YEARS AGO !!!!! Well if that was the case, Bill Clinton should have been tossed in jail for lying to Congress about his affair with the Lewinski tramp.... It appears someone was out to get this Admiral....

It doesn't SAY exactly what he is being accused of, only that he is accused and has been smacked hard, for whatever it was.

That is the interesting question. What could possibly be so devastatingly bad about something he may or may not have done in 1990 that is only now being addressed? Frankly, I cannot wait to find out just what it was, something so bad that he deserves to be hammered so hard after all these years?

This story is very strange, and VERY interesting.

Oh please... Clinton Schminton.

This guy could have been having an affair with a Russian Spy (in 1990, could be)for all we know.

ACTUALLY Congress forwarded articles of impeachment to the Senate.

The Senate just couldn't BRING itself to remove a President for having an Extramartial Affair.

What's funny is that SOME that voted to convict him, were doing the exact same thing.

Maybe they should ALL join Eliot Spitzer?

Yes indeed... and some of them were "doing it" in public bathrooms (or even worse with Children), and that is NOT funny... at all.

I realize that the guy was fired for lying and NOT the relationship itself, but good grief, if the military punished every member who had an "inappropriate relationship," there would be no military!

Someone obviously sees a chance for themselves to move up if the Admiral is moved out or down. Thats the officer corps for you-backstabbing cut throats that will step on anyone to get where they want. Them troops have always known that there was little or no loyalty from officer to enlisted. Now your eating your own. What comes around goes around.

You idiot liberals can never get this right. God it's irritating. Clinton was not impeached for having sex with an intern nor was this Admiral fired for having sex. Clinton was impeached because the holier than thou SOB went on national television and wagged his finger at all of America, claiming "I did not bla, blah blah". Had he rogered up he would have been fine. Same with the good Admiral here. Fired fo lying. Had he come clean we may never have heard about this.

This is a bunch of hokey pokey. The ADMIRAL is
a sailor. Crimenittley, what's the deal. What
the heck is it anybodys business. Reinstate him
and move on all you sinless goofballs.

Just two quick questions: are we sure it was a woman and, what is an "inappropriate relationship"? I'd really like to know, especially the answer to the second one. Smile

I would make a crack about not inspiring trust in our leaders, but that expired long ago.

Expect more from a Commander - do you start every sentence off with "You idiot liberals" - this independent, thinks that maybe your thinking or ridiculous assumptions about people might be the cause for you only attaining 05 rank. And I don't agree with your last statement that had he come clean, you would never have heard about this. As an Officer and Gentleman, many might consider this conduct unbecoming - especially if he was married.
