That's beautiful, the prosecuter in the case actually was with the SF unit he(the major) claimed to have served with! Beer

When will clowns like this learn that this stuff always comes back to bite 'em in azz?

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

What a waist of money.
I should be so lucky as to be one of these paid loffers looking for
lyers.
True brave men, never worried about it and if women or men are sizing
themselves over awards, then I'm assamed to testify facts about myself
and the reasons I was willing to give my life.
What a bunch of baby bltchin crap.
I say fire the cheap lyer seakers and throw them in the slammer for
a cheap reason to earn money and get paid.
Lets turn the money into mature intel men that now the real problems
at hand.

If a person thinks that these kind of lyers and cheap woman seaking
to get laid low lifes hurt a real proud honorable mans feelings, they
are mistaken.

There is no reason to seek out and waist money on the types that lye.

This is the land of the free and the brave.
Not the land to revenge and coward money seekers for every little misfit
prob that comes along.

Read and look at Medal Of Honor winners.
They felt they did not earn it and could care less about lyers.

Get rid of these types worried about meddle revenge to make money or think
it matters to brave men.

If lyers bother you, do you really think you fit the brave and the free?

Maybe you work for the prison system and drink to much and cheat on your
wife, if that is the case.

"The Deseret Morning News also noted that the federal prosecutor in the case actually was part of the 19th SFG."

5 months was too lenient. He used fake credentials to get promoted, cited units he had no affiliation with. Not just any unit, but a unit that takes FOREVER to get into and earn the tab. And as an Officer, he should know better! We all embellish a little here and there when telling our military stories, but this jerk-off took the mother-effing cake!

I'm glad they caught and sentenced the S.O.B. But most of you nay-sayers who say we shouldn't have spent the money prosecute these babies forget that his dishonesty keep some honest Captain from getting promoted. These are men who lead our sons and daughters in harms way. Only the best should serve. Five months is too short. a year reduction to recruit and dishonorable discharge. Send a message to all dishonorist people.

I don't understand all these wanabee's. If they want to be a Green Beret or some other type of war hero all they have to do is go out and pick up a really big fat woman that is so ugly she makes others look away, and then marry her and have kids with her. Thats all it takes.

Probably getting ready to run for U.S. House or senate and needed some campaign help. One would think a man that made it to 0-4 would have a little more sense than this. Even if he wore unauthorized ribbons just once, some one knowing thier awards would wonder why he didn't wear again. A reduction in rank would be in order.

Major Calderone's "embellishment" of his service record kind of reminds me of that guy who received pilot's training during the Vietnam War, but then decided not to show up to serve his country in the war. Major Calderon, who actually did serve in combat, got five months in prison. The other guy, the one who avoided service, eventually became the "Mission Accomplished" CinC. As Paul Harvey would say "Now you know the whole story:.
