This just shows how desperate al-Queda is. I pray the Iraqi people will realize how callous they(al-Queda)can be,stand up and say enough,and help both their military and our military root these bastards out. The responsible ***holes should be hung and even that is too good for them!!

It'll be critical for the Iraqi gov't and media to get this story out to the folks, and it would be nice to get some help from al Arabiyah and al Jazeera (though I won't hold my breath). And of course there'll be those who deny the ISF story, and others that will say the ends justify the means citing the Koran's 'except in emergencies' clause. But they (AQI) I believe are really cannibalizing their support on this one.

wouldnt doubt it. they already used childrens bikes packed with explosives and waited for the kids to ride up to patrols.

I was listening to one report the other day, it said that when the troops moved into this particular area, they had 600 incidents a day, everything from IEDs going off to sniper attacks to weapons caches being uncovered. . . today. . . they average FOUR incidents per day for the entire operating area (sorry, can't remember where they were at).

NOW THOSE ARE THE FACTS. . . IT IS BETTER.

For my mission in Iraq, and this is not to say it was overly "glorious" at all, but we were kept abreast of nation-wide incidents every day. We also travelled ALL OVER the country. I haven't been to Mosul, Tikrit, or Baqouba, but I've been everywhere else. In the summer of 2006 you could see the explosions and hear the gunfire in Baghdad every night. All that year and into 2007 we saw the reports and saw firsthand the steadily rising incidents, peaking during the surge's deployment, then in July 2007...relatively it was almost like you could hear crickets chirping.
It got better, the surge did it.
Gen. Patton made some pretty bad mistakes in WWII-like sending an under strength armored column behind enemy lines to rescue his son-in-law...but for all the right decisions he made we see him for the hero he was.
The same will be true of George W. Bush many years in the future when the history is written by those with no agenda or emotional attachment to this period in time.
