Are we pushing them up against Turkish troops? Hope so they then will be cut down for sure.

Another one bites the dust. Very sophisticated pest control.

Great to see so we can shift into Pakistan and Iran next. They are provoking us.

It would be good to be young again but as the ole saying goes, youth is wasted on the young. Still as they kill off the Al-Qaida we can say one more there and one less here. "There", and the meaning is not heaven either!

I just hope the US follow them as the terrorists retreat, all the way to the border and beyond, a good idea to send the UAV in to track and target them day and night. Sadly it seems the terrorists leave town and get away to fight another day, and this should be stopped for anyone leaving an area that is being searched should be a target.

Sadly, killing terrorists in the middle east is a little like me trying to eradicate fire ants on my place. The poison to kill these tenacious little bastards is expensive to say the least. If I treat one hill of them, I will kill some, but the majority of them move to a new location within 10 20 feet. They are well fortified and are receiving intel from someone on a higher pay level than myself. So far I have been trying to eradicate them since 2003. To date it seems like everytime I kill a few of them, there are millions more to take their place. I can only surmise that my actions toward them and their brethren only fortify their resolve to overcome my efforts. There is something in my actions that drives them to survive. I am beginning to wise up. There has to be a more practical, less costly way to get them off my case other than trying to kill them off one by one. At one point I even targeted the "queen mother" of the hill. Seems like I could never get the poison to her. Too many worker ants defending her I guess.

Sounds a little like trying to wipe out radical terrorists, doesn't it.

YES!!!! I've been wondering when they were going to start the new offensive. These little bastards fled Baghdad and have been causing trouble all over the rest of Iraq.

WE ARE COMING and there's nowhere left to run!!

BTW to date we have lost 1/366th of our active military and we have spent less than 1% of our GDP on this war. We can keep this up forever if we need to. These scumbags haven't even been able to hit our civilians with a spitwad since 2001.

Did the Iraq invasion create new terrorists?? I hope so, and I hope they come to Iraq because we really don't have to resources to invade every country these punks come from. What a fool Osama is to think that he would draw out our army and destroy us like they did to the Soviets. No dummy, we're doing that to you and we're using Muslims to fight you.

Gates and Petraeus are heroes of the USA!! Absolutely brilliant how they turned this thing around for us.

Good news indeed. But, we should not start the celebrating prematurely. There is still much work to be done and this is only a good start. Time will tell if we are indeed prevailing.
Still don't agree with it but at least the news coming out of there is getting better.

I REALLY LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK! I think it was Cheney who said that Iraq would become the center of gravity on the war on terror way back in 2003. He was right on and I like you believe that radical fundamentalist Islamic idiots will continue to load up in trucks and drive to Iraq to be killed wholesale. I for one am sick of trying to make these people our friends or for that matter the rest of the world. I would much rather have the world be scared $hitless of the USA than be liked. We already know what being liked feels like!

This should do us some good having a force out at the northly area, as if having sunnis, shiites, and insurgents to put up with, also.

You all are right about that! Why wouldn't we have fun? I am in the business of killing people(Infantry) and I believe we should take a better approach. All you have to do it stand there and wait, the war will come to you!

THIS WAR ON TERROR WILL NEVER END UNLESS WE GIVE UP THE FIGHT AND THAT WILL END OUR WAY OF LIFE. I FOR ONE DO NOT WANT TO HAVE MY GREAT GREAT GRAND CHILDREN SAYING THEIR PRAYS TO ALLAH.
WE MUST KEEP IN MIND THAT WE ARE FIGHTING AL-QAIDA AND NOT IRAQ.

No, the real question is is America worth weakening for these people over seas? Is Osama laughing for baiting us over there? Lastly, how many more were they able to recruit because of this... Those are the real questions..

One more killed is not one more gone... Remember, if it creates three in there place, one down, two more to go... Then four, then 10, so on and so forth...
